This site is a home for the things I spend my time on outside of work: mountain biking in the hills around the San Francisco Bay Area, high‑altitude climbing and trekking in ranges like the Karakoram and the Himalaya, hand‑engine‑turned watch dial engraving (guillochage), Japanese kamishibai storytelling, amateur radio, and keeping track of the extended von Kaenel family.
